NPP Projection Report 1/19 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Schedule first run playlists for Friday 1/21 - Thursday 1/27 and update cue sheets.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built new first run playlists and trailer packs for next week.

Built and scheduled a playlist for the Single White Female preshow.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Jackass Forever.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Parallel Mothers and Cow DCPs arrived. Parallel Mothers has been ingested to TMS and Cow to Theater 3 for the screening on Friday.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): The Desperately Seeking Susan print was picked up.

Print/video Inspection: Finished inspecting Single White Female and also ran a reel in 6 to confirm the soundtrack type and check sound overall. No problems with the sound, print is pretty scratchy but nothing crazy.

Watched a reel of From Beyond and Now and Then in Theater 1, both looked great!

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Roger from CTS visited to work on projector #2 in theater 1. He put on new gate bands and adjusted the trap, he said there was a piece which was causing the film to buckle in the gate. I watched a reel with him there and played with the gate tension (which previously exaggerated the shaking issue heavily) and the issue is definitely resolved.

Jerry came to look at the issues in 4 and 6. He fixed some loose wiring in 6, and said the fuses for the changeovers in 4 may be blown. He will be back next week to put a new sound processor in 6 and replace the fuses in 4.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
