NPP Projection Report 2/16


To do this evening/ was completed: Shattered screening with intro in Theater 1, I went over everything with Jim so this should go smoothly.

Special Events/ AV set up: The private event in Theater 2 went fairly well. I had everything set up following what Chenelle relayed to me but as people arrived it seemed there were conflicting ideas about what they actually wanted. The set up proved to be quite involved as they decided they wanted to have a singer onstage at the last minute then went back on this request when they saw the setup the singer needed. They also seemed to expect to be able to speak on the mic with the music still playing, which is possible with extra setup but from what I understood from the setup instructions I got from Chenelle I would be playing the music as people walked up to the stage, then fading it out and switching it to the mic for them to talk. Once things were cleared up and I got into the groove of what they wanted with switching between music and microphone it went OK.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Cyrano, Downton Abbey 2, and new posters for Belfast and The Worst Person in the World.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received The Dark Crystal DCP and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm print.

I received tracking info for the content for the HBO screening on Monday, it should be coming tomorrow. I will have Jim load this to tech check on Friday.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): The Love & Basketball print got picked up.

Print/video Inspection: Finished inspecting The Lost Boys, nothing new in the last two reels really, they were also scratched and had a few splices throughout. Inspected Trees Lounge, this one is in excellent shape. Began inspecting Foxfire, which is a bit dirty but otherwise is in very good shape.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes added tracking for How to Train Your Dragon, it’s coming Friday.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
