NPP Projection Report 2/18


To do this evening/ was completed: Continued sorting through VHS Vault content.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled playlists for The Dark Crystal and the private HBO event on Monday.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Lightyear and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Ordering/Receiving (content): The How to Train Your Dragon DCP came.

Ingested The Dark Crystal to Theater 1 and transferred to Theater 2. Started How to Train Your Dragon ingesting to Theater 2 before I left.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Walked all outgoing drives to the UPS store.

Print/video Inspection: Teched The Lost Boys and Foxfire prints with Cristina, both looked/sounded great! Volumes noted on info sheets.

Teched the B*A*P*S DCP with Desmond, this came out very well.

Tech checked the HBO DCPs for their event Monday. They all looked good!

Teched My Neighbor Totoro for this weekend, it looks great. Added a credit lights cue to the playlist and updated cue sheets.

Finished inspecting Foxfire and inspected the Batman: Mask of the Phantasm print, both are in great shape.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, added tracking for the Near Dark print which should be coming on Tuesday.

Maintenance/cleaning: Reorganized posters and put some in archive tubes. Got rid of ones with old release dates which have been changed and organized remaining posters by release date. Added some to the trivia section as well and put up a new list of these.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Completed timing for all events except How to Train Your Dragon. Scheduled Wednesday and Thursday as well and filled in cues.

Marquee updated?: Took Moonfall down from the front and put up Uncharted.

Updated rep titles as well, put up Trees Lounge and Foxfire w/ Q&A and their dates.

Posters updated?: Took Moonfall down from outside and put up the new Uncharted poster in its place. Hung Oscar Shorts with a coming soon snipe in the lobby.

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projectors off for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by TH5?: Yes

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
