NPP Projection Report 2/6 Admin
To do this evening/ was completed:
Presentation Issues: There was a 10 minute delay during the Starman screening this afternoon; almost exactly in the middle of reel 5 (of 6) the take up reel on projector #2 fell off its arm, fell to the ground, and film began spooling out onto the ground from the bottom of the projector. I immediately stopped the film and brought the house lights up, alerted MOD that I would need five minutes to address the issue, and made a splice in the reel in order to properly secure and re-thread the remaining film onto a new take-up reel. I thought I had secured the take-up reel but evidently it was spinning without the pin in a fully locked (pointing upward) position and spun off, locking the pin behind it when it took the weight of the film to the ground. Aside from this incident I had no other issues during the screening. A note was made in the print inspection report about the splice halfway through the reel and any potential dust mark or scratches on the back half
