NPP Projection Report 2/8 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: Removed The Man Who Fell to Earth from theater 1 IMS; tech screened NSF22 shorts with Desmond, Cristina, Kat, and John in theater 1 -- two of the short films had some very noticeable picture issues (the image looked like it had been stretched vertically despite the aspect ratios being correct)

Tech screened the first two reels of School Daze for Desmond in theater 6; the tails of each one sustained some damage at old splice marks that had to be repaired with new tape -- these got caught up in the gears and ripped from the tension (a note was made in the film inspection report for this print)

NewFest people were on site this afternoon with Chenelle to look over the different spotlight settings in theater 2; they took photos of each setting and said they would touch base with us when they decided which setting they preferred for their intros/Q&As -- they mentioned potentially wanting to keep the house lights up in addition to having spots on, but this is subject to change

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Finished building playlists for the upcoming week and made some adjustments to the content as it is listed on the trailer sheets; WPITW is not a PG-13 title and will have R preshow content running ahead of it

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
