Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Added the updated book promo to all of next week’s playlists.

Built and scheduled a playlist for the School Daze preshow ahead of the screening.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: The School Daze screening went well! Missed the first changeover cue from reel 3 to reel 4 while repairing a tear in the first reel’s head leader I noticed while threading and temporarily held together with paper tape. There was only a few seconds of leader/black on screen before I got the next reel on. Other than that, there were no issues with the screening, the myriad damage/repairs on the print we received all went through the projector fine.

Brought the mic and mini mixer back to 4/6 before the School Daze preshow as Desmond confirmed he wouldn’t be using it.

Print/video Inspection: After the tail leader splices on the first two reels of School Daze caused damage to the tail leaders during the tech today I re-checked all the splices in the film. They all looked fine though I did end up redoing a few which had lots of tape on them. However none of the other splices, even the ones I redid, should have had a problem going through the projector, and from what I can recall from inspecting there was nothing wrong with any of the existing splices in reels one and two so I’m not sure what happened with those today.

I looked at the fifth reel of Starman to assess the extent of any scratching, and there was a good bit of base scratches around where the splice was made, yet another reason not to splice film in these situations as the scratches were likely from the spliced film being placed directly onto a take up reel. I also wiped the dust off the film, there was a lot of it. If film ever touches the floor during a screening please take the time either while rewinding or after the screening finishes to wipe it off before it goes back onto the shipping reel. I added a note to the damage report section of the inspection report about the scratching and that I cleaned the dust off the film.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, delivery estimate changed for the Magnificent Warriors print.

Maintenance/cleaning: Unpacked some of the packages of booth supplies we received as well as the iPad mount for Trees. I’ll set this up in there tomorrow during admin.

We finally have new lamps for the Christie 2220 projectors. Will change lamps in Theater 1 and 2 projectors tomorrow.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes, I rescheduled playlists for Thursday with the 021122 playlists that had been made and this caused a minute difference for credit times on a few shows. Please remember to schedule new playlists on dates when new titles open if we’ve been showing a trailer for that title.
