NPP Projection Report 3/11 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: Build and scheduled Chopping Mall, Farewell Amor, and The Manchurian Candidate playlists. Aim to have 5 minutes of trailers for Chopping and Manchurian, Farewell has an intro so no trailers for that one. The slide is on the server.

Go through the event calendar and add any titles missing from the asset doc.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Noticed the new playlist for the Animated Oscar Shorts hadn't been loaded to the Theater 1 and 2 servers since all shows in these houses are manual starts. Feature content was already on the servers since it's been playing in both theaters so I just needed to schedule the SPL so it would load. Just a reminder to please schedule playlists for anything that only has manual start shows when building the schedule so the playlist and any new content will load onto the server. Once the playlist is valid you can delete the schedule.

Downloaded and ingested generic Strip Club and Showgirls preshow and the Adult feature and Welcome snipes. Converted the slide for Farewell Amor to DCP and ingested that as well.

Built preshow playlists for Fist of Legend and Showgirls screenings and scheduled them.

Trailer Updates: Removed the mask PSAs from trailer packs and replaced with the Stub promo. Removed that from preshows and replaced with the updated book promo where necessary.

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordered posters for The Lost City through IMoxie.

Ordering/Receiving (content): DCP drives for Farewell Amor and The Manchurian Candidate came in. Ingested both to Theater 3.

Attempted and failed to ingest the Chopping Mall DCP to the TMS, also copied the DCP to our drive and tried that on the Theater 1 IMS, but it also failed giving the same error. I wrote to AGFA about it and they shared a download link of the DCP, after downloading this to our drive the ingest was successful. I left a note in the box with the DCP that they may want to recopy the DCP to the drive as it was likely a copying error that caused the failed ingest, since the DCP I downloaded from Google Drive was exactly the same as the one on their hard drive.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): There were a few first run features which could be deleted from individual IMS servers.

Printed a return shipping label for the Chopping Mall drive from AGFA. We’ll hang onto it until the screening, even though the content failed to ingest from it. I left a note on the box to schedule a FedEx express pickup for it on 3/14, for 3/15, though I may change it to ship back on 3/14, as we’ll be sending back the Fist of Legend print that day, also going back to AGFA, so we might as well send them together rather than schedule two separate pickups.

Print/video Inspection: Teched the Grease Sing Along playlist and added a credit lights cue, added the time to the cue sheets as well.

Teched the Fist of Legend print, it's very very scratched but should be presentable. 

Finished inspecting Fist of Legend as well, last two reels are also super scratched and dirty with plenty of splices and torn sprocket holes which either had already been repaired or needed repairing. Added grease pencil cues to reel 4. At the end of the last reel, the credits scroll cuts off early. I noted the last on-screen credit on the inspection form,

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Had the AC interlock error on the Theater 1 Christie when I came in, I’ve mentioned it again to Gregg from DMS. Also mentioned storage upgrades, an order for a 30SP lamp we’ve yet to receive, and ordering new air filters for the CP2220 projectors.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Reviewed the week's cues with Gerard, everything looks good.
