NPP Projection Report 3/17 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Remove Uncharted from the front of the marquee.

Move cart to side entrance at the end of the night.

Ingest Inspector Ike to Theater 3 if the video file downloads completely, otherwise keep trying to download it from Dropbox.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested Anime (R) preshow, Spring Animated Welcome/Feature snipes, and made and ingested DCPs of Careful and Wild Things intro slides. Country Brunch preshow wasn’t ready on Google Drive yet so I’ll build and schedule the Steel Magnolias preshow tomorrow.

Built and scheduled playlists for Akira, both NSF encore programs, Careful preshow, and Wild Things preshow. A note about the NSF playlists: since there’s no credits really I put a minute of black after the last short with a lights up cue at the start so it doesn’t go straight to cleaning lights after the shorts finish.

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ingested several new trailers from the Trail Mix drive that came yesterday, both updated trailers to ones already on our server and ones we didn't have yet.

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Watcher screener DCP came, I ingested it to Theater 6.

Attempted to ingest the Inspector Ike DCP to Theater 3, but it failed giving an error that the video file was the wrong size. I checked the Dropbox and it should have been 86 GB, the file on the drive was only about 60 though there were no errors with the download. Attempted redownloading this part several times throughout the day but it either failed or stopped halfway through as though it had finished. Eventually copied the rest of the DCP components to the iMac Desktop and tried downloading the video directly to the computer's hard drive.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Scheduled a pickup for tomorrow with DHL/Universal for the Cool as Ice print, it's on the cart in 3/7, I labeled it so the courier knows it’s the right pickup in case I miss them tomorrow.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the last two reels of Careful--pretty much the same as the first four, a few sprocket repairs and lightly scratched.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added info for The Lost City, which is now pending on Deluxe.

Maintenance/cleaning: Measured the projection screen in Trees Lounge as Chenelle asked me for this info for a booking, plus it’s good info to have on hand for any future Trees Lounge events. It’s 9’ by 5’.

Placed the 1.37 lenses and plates in the Theater 1 35mm projectors as Careful is a full frame 1.37 print. Ran white light on screen to check the masking and plates, filed the plates down a bit. Should be good to go for the screening.

Made 50 new copies of the print inspection report, left some both on the rewind bench 4/6 and in the folder in 1.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes, added credit times for NSF programs, Akira, and Careful.

Posters updated?: Took down Uncharted and moved X outside, hung Morbius as coming soon in the lobby (The Lost City posters I ordered are not here yet).

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
