NPP Projection Report 3/18 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Downloaded the updated Breakdown clip for Steel Magnolias, please add it to the playlist (once) in place of the four existing Breakdown clips.

Ingest Inspector Ike to Theater 3, download Video Diary of a Lost Girl from Google Drive and ingest that to 3 as well.

Ingest Watcher keys for Monday.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the three Country Brunch preshow clips. Built and scheduled the Steel Magnolias playlist, though we need the full 10 minute Breakdown clip, the one we got at first was only 2 and a half minutes so I repeated it four times in the playlist.

Trailer Updates: Swapped out the Fantastic Beasts trailer for a new version in both trailer packs.

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Wild Things print came in.

Finally managed to completely download the Inspector Ike DCP by downloading the Dropbox desktop app and syncing it to the folder. Copied it to the hard drive to ingest to Theater 3.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): The Cool as Ice print got picked up.

Print/video Inspection: Projected a bit of the first two reels of Careful for Cristina, print looked good overall, though the beginning of reels are pretty scratched/dirty. No issue with the lenses and plates, they looked great from both projectors.

Looked at the Steel Magnolias DCP with Desmond, it looks and sounds great.

Inspected the Wild Things print, it’s in very good condition. I think this was the first print with an SDDS soundtrack we’ve received, but we have no way of playing that so we’ll just have to run it with the analog SR soundtrack.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added tracking for The Lost City, it's coming Monday.

Maintenance/cleaning: Gerard gave me two new earpieces in addition to the one he gave Jack last night. There's a plastic bag for each which I've labeled with each of our names so we all have our own earpiece to use.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Updated timing for Steel Magnolias.

Also reviewed cues for the week with Gerard, they should be all set.

Additional Notes: Had a bit of an issue with the TMS failing to ingest any content to the IMS servers. I didn't notice right away because I was teching the print in 1 and then downloading preshow content, but around noon I noticed that the new Fantastic Beasts trailer (as well as some preshow content and in house trailers to Theater 2) had failed to ingest over and over since this morning. I rebooted the TMS but was having the same issue when it started back up. I tried ingesting the Country Brunch preshow from the hard drive as well to see how that went, and though these clips ingested they went extremely slowly so I knew something was up. Then the TMS rebooted itself and when it came back on ingests started working normally again.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
