NPP Projection Report 4/12 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: Continue scheduling and filling in cue sheets. For Theater 1 just drag playlists over to the schedule to get the end times. I manually loaded everything for the coming week to the Theater 1 server.

Waiting on Sundays on Fire and California Love preshow, the May Black Cinema trailer to come on to Google Drive, check on them and download/ingest once they’re available.

Snake Eyes screening with intro, mic is set up and the print and preshow playlist are ready to go. Pack up the print after the screening and leave it on the cart, it’s getting picked up tomorrow.

Presentation Issues: Ran the channel ID test in Theater 1, no issues.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the new forecast and Nitehawk Diaries trailer.

Updated the Snake Eyes preshow playlist with a cue to switch to the Non Sync input for the needle drop before the intro, mic input will have to be selected manually and volume raised. Also adjusted the playlist so the Watchmen trailer plays in scope at Desmond’s request.

Built all new first run playlists for the week with the exception of new titles with preshows on Thursday the 21st.

Built and scheduled playlists for The Prince of Egypt with and without intro.

Built a playlist for the private Batman screening Thursday morning and loaded it to Theater 1.

Trailer Updates: The R trailer pack ran a minute long so I removed the Superior Sequels trailer, which is still in the PG-13 and PG packs.

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up the mic for the Snake Eyes intro and left a mic stand under the curtain. Volume levels on the mixer are set, just switch on the power strip and mixer before preshow and it will be ready to go. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Nick Cave: This Much I Know To Be True, placed them in the caddy as we are screening this title one night only in May. We may or may not hang the posters but we’ll archive one and the other could also be good for trivia.

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Prince of Egypt DCP arrived, ingested to Theater 3.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Attached return labels for the Snake Eyes print, please secure the cans with the included cable ties and leave the print on the cart at the end of the night, pickup is scheduled for tomorrow.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the House on Haunted Hill print, it’s in excellent shape and includes a trailer for Any Given Sunday at the beginning. I imagine we will show it but I let Cristina know.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added tracking for The Northman, it is coming Thursday 4/14. Filled in runtime/ratio/sound/KDM info for this title as well as The Bad Guys which is pending on Deluxe.

Added tracking for Happiness of the Katakuris, it’s coming tomorrow.

Maintenance/cleaning: Received a shipment from Amazon with two rolls of gaff tape, two 24 packs of inspection gloves, and a small HDMI connector since we only had one and we need one for both the cable to converter connection and Theater 3 blu-ray to splitter connection.

Ran white light to check which masking setting is best for scope films in Theater 4, I went with the “masking FILM 239” cue as it’s wider and doesn’t have the issue of the projectors bleeding onto the curtain. I also rotated both scope lenses very slightly as they were a bit off alignment with the screen.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in credit times for Fantastic Beasts preshows this Thursday. Filled in preshow, showtime, lights down, and movie start times for Friday 4/15 - Thursday 4/21. Scheduled Friday and Saturday and filled in credit times for those days. Loaded playlists to Theater 1.
