NPP Projection Report 4/14 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Hard restart TMS after The Bad Guys finishes ingesting, check on ingests to Theaters 5 and 6 for Sunday shows.

Presentation Issues: Ran the channel ID test before the event in Theater 1 this morning, no issues. Think it’s safe to say the internal power supply was the issue. I’ve let DMS know and they’ll be sending a replacement.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested updated forecasts for this week, and an STB All Ages trailer. Noticed the B forecast had Williamsburg events listed and Kat also wanted to change the slide for this month’s STB in the A forecast. Added the forecasts to all playlists and the STB All Ages trailer to the PG trailer pack.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: The high school private screening of The Batman went well, had to restart and then switch to a different preshow to give extra time as they arrived late and took a while to get ready. The movie eventually started around 11:15, ending about 2:10, giving about 25 minutes before the theater opened for the first round.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a trailer for On the Count of Three on a USB stick.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Drives for The Northman and The Bad Guys arrived, ingested both to the TMS.

Received the Aspera download link of the Fire of Love DCP for the Nat Geo event in late May. It’s downloading to the hard drive for now, we can wait to ingest this however as I’m sure IMS storage will be upgraded before this event and we’ll just lose it if we ingest it now.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): The House on Haunted Hill print will have to be circulated to Alamo Brooklyn after our showing. Their screening is 5/10, will talk to John about how we'll get the print over to them, if we'll ship it or just drop it off.

Print/video Inspection: Teched the Happiness of the Katakuris DCP, put the info in the asset doc.

Checked the Fantastic Beasts playlist, it’s all set.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, updated Katakuris, Fantastic Beasts, Northman, and Bad Guys entries.

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Added Fantastic Beasts 3 to the front and removed X.

Posters updated?: Brought the Fantastic Beasts poster outside in place of Morbius, hung Unbearable Weight in the lobby.

Additional Notes: Ran in to a number of errors with the TMS before opening, first it wasn't saving any playlists as I was updating them with the new forecasts and was failing to ingest any content to any of the IMS servers, giving an error reading "bad parameters." I restarted it and playlists started saving but nothing was ingesting still. It was about an hour out from opening so I shutdown the TMS so it wouldn't keep attempting to ingest stuff and went down to 3/7 and locally ingested the new forecasts and STB All Ages trailer to the Theater 3 server (it was the first to open for the day), and transferred them between servers to every house in order of when they opened. Since this was the only new content needed on any server for today we were good for opening in every house well before doors. Rebooted the TMS from the rack and when it came back on ingests were working again, however I had to restart again when the 7.1 version of The Northman was not appearing among TMS content, though the ingest had completed. When it started back up I noticed the same issue with the TMS failing to ingest content to other servers, but only after I’d started ingesting The Bad Guys. Asked Jack to hard restart the TMS when that ingest is done, hopefully TMS to IMS ingests will start working again after that as they did before, if not we can load the content from another IMS server for now, this is for shows on Sunday.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
