NPP Projection Report 4/18 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Checked all manual start playlists for the rest of the week, they're all ready to go on their respective servers.

Downloaded/ingested next week’s forecasts and the Outskirts trailer.

Built new first run playlists for next week. Deleted the playlists I made for 4/21 and scheduled the 4/22 versions for Thursday instead.

Since we won't be able to leave the Bad Guys and Unbearable Weight shows scheduled in Theater 1 for the content to auto-load for Thursday, I manually ingested the SPLs and all of their preshow/trailer/feature content to Theater 1.

Trailer Updates: Made new trailer packs for next week, got rid of the ones I made for 4/21.

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received one poster for Firestarter, doesn't look like we're going to open this one but I kept it just in case.

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Blade Runner DCP arrived, I ingested it to Theater 1.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Packed up the Deadful Melody print and printed a return label for it. It's on the cart with a pickup scheduled for tomorrow.

Attached the included return labels to the House on Haunted Hill cans forgetting it needs to go to Alamo Brooklyn after our screening. It may be dropped off to them or, if we end up shipping it over, I’ll be careful to attach the new labels so the ones underneath can still be used for their return.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the Babe: Pig in the City print, it’s in very good condition.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated Blade Runner entry, added the 35mm Star Wars staff screening for 5/25.

Maintenance/cleaning: Checked the 2.00:1 masking and projector macro in every theater, as The Northman is in this aspect ratio.

Received the new internal power supply for the CP750 in Theater 1. It came just 25 minutes before the theater opened and, since I'll need to dismount the processor from the rack to open it up and replace it, I did not have enough time to put the new piece in before the theater opened. Will take care of this during my admin tomorrow.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Added credit times for the Cat People screening this Thursday.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
