To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist:

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up a microphone for the private event in Theater 3 tonight, an intro was added last minute. Despite the mixer being in use for the intro in Theater 4, we can still connect a microphone to the processor, we just have to enable Phantom Power on the Dolby CP750 Setup app on the Theater 6 Booth PC. It is quieter than if the mixer is used, but this is the only option since the intro in 4 is happening at about the same time. I made a cue to set the volume to 10 and added that to the private event playlist for their intro. It sounds fine, just not as robust as if we were to use the mixer. I let Chenelle know that I had to connect the mic this way and it would be quieter than normal.

Mic was still set up in Theater 4 from last night.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a new Trail Mix drive.

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Scott Pilgrim DCP arrived today, for some reason it was not showing up when I tried ingesting it locally, but it showed up on the TMS so I just ingested it there and sent to Theater 3.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Brought all outgoing drives to the UPS store.

Scheduled pickups for tomorrow of Born to Win (FedEx Ground, label was included) and Return of the Jedi (Express, printed the label). Both prints are on the cart by the entrance.

Print/video Inspection: Ran the first reel of Ricochet in Theater 4. It looks and sounds great. Since this is an Academy print I was extra careful to check there was no damage as it ran through the projector, and checked it after it finished running. No issues to speak of. Since our last few shows on these projectors haven't resulted in any damage to prints, I'm sure this one will go through without any problems. Placed the 1.85 lens and plate back in the projector for the Bug screening tonight.

Put the rest of Dog Day Afternoon back on house reels, brought Beyond the Black Rainbow up to 4/6.

Teched Top Gun and Bob’s Burgers playlists.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Fixed the changeover issue on projector #1 in Theater 4. I knew it couldn't have been anything major as the shutter on this projector was closing in sync with projector #2, just not opening when you hit the button. Turns out a spade connector inside the changeover mechanism had come loose, probably the last time the changeover was opened or closed on this projector as the movement of the mechanism could have easily knocked this wire out of place. I threaded the wire under another one and reconnected it to the opening mechanism so it shouldn't come loose as easily now.

Chris from DMS has shipped us the new IMS hard drives. He also sent a picture of where the drives should be placed in the projector, looks a lot easier to do than I initially thought. Still planning to upgrade just one server a day, at least to start, once they arrive so I can be sure everything ingests in time for the night, as multiple ingests running from the TMS to different servers would slow them down. He said they should arrive tomorrow though there’s still no delivery estimate on the tracking. I’ll keep an eye on it.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Took down Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, The Bad Guys, and The Northman and put up Top Gun Maverick and Bob’s Burgers.

Took down Born to Win and put up TMNT The Movie with dates.

Posters updated?: Took down Men and Northman posters from outside and hung Top Gun and Bob’s Burgers in their place. Hung Crimes of the Future and Lightyear in the lobby.

Cleaning lights on for the night?:

Projection cart by entrance?:
