NPP Projection Report 6/2

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: The port windows were fogging up in Theater 4, I removed the window for the digital projector and let MOD know so they could check the AC. I let Jack know that I removed it. As I left, the glass for 35mm projector #1 was still foggy so I left the glass for the digital projector out of the frame.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Kat uploaded a new trailer for the Be Gay Do Crime series for us to add to our playlists. The preshow upload failed, she will bring it on a hard drive tomorrow.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up Spoons for tonight in Theater 1, everything just needs to be turned on and Michael’s laptop connected to the HDMI and 1/8” sound output.

The guys from Dog Day Afternoon (hot dog shop) were here today to walkthrough the kitchen and they did a quick mic check in Theater 1. I went over the plan for their intro with them as Desmond won’t be here.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Checked for the College Boys Live DCP on the shared drive though it seems like it didn’t make a complete upload. I will check in with Kat about this when she drops of the drive with the Be Gay Do Crime preshow tomorrow.

Deluxe hadn’t sent new keys for Downton Abbey, and the ones we had expired after tonight. I emailed Deluxe, as usual they told me to contact our booker, who then contacted Focus and got us the keys.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Packed up Ricochet for return as we won’t be repairing it.

Print/video Inspection: Teched the Dog Day Afternoon print in Theater 1 and Beyond the Black Rainbow in Theater 4. Both looked and sounded great. Volume levels have been noted.

Sent pictures of the tears in the leaders of reels 4 and 6 of the Ricochet print to the Academy. They requested we send it back as is and they will repair it themselves. I initially scheduled a pickup for tomorrow but they requested it go out early next week. The pickup wasn’t showing up in the FedEx account despite getting the normal confirmation screen when I scheduled it, so I couldn’t cancel. The print is in 4/6 so if I’m not able to cancel the pickup tomorrow morning there won’t be anything there for them to pickup.

Timed credits for Set It Off and updated the cues.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added tracking for Jurassic World, it’s coming tomorrow.

Maintenance/cleaning: Upgraded the storage disks for the Theater 2 IMS. All servers are upgraded now with about double the storage space as before. After loading everything to Theater 2 for tonight and next week I sent all newer features (Crimes of the Future, Top Gun, and Bob’s Burgers) to all servers they weren’t loaded to yet, and some features which have been playing for a while to the smaller theaters they weren’t already ingested to.

Went over a few 35mm protocols with Jack, will be sure to do the same with Will before his next show.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?:

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?:

Projection cart by entrance?:
