NPP Projection Report 6/23 Open


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: The CP750 processor in Theater 1 seems to be acting up again. Shortly after The Black Phone started for the last round Jack texted me that the speaker alignment was off and the mix was coming out mostly from the center channel. Restarting the processor resolved it. I’ll have to bring this up with DMS as they gave us a replacement power supply which fixed this issue until now.

Special Events/ AV set up: The private event in Theater 1 went well, though the Q&A went a bit long, the guests were still trickling out of the theater at 9:30, which was the last round’s showtime. The last round ended up starting shortly after 9:45. I played 10 minutes of preshow.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Minions 2 DCP came in, ingested it to the TMS and sent it to all servers.

The Cat Video Fest DCP came as well, ingested it to Theater 2.

Ingested keys for Land Before Time.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected the Bling Ring print, it’s packed up for return.

Teched Elvis and The Black Phone, both were all good.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?:  Took down Bob’s Burgers and Men, put up Elvis and The Black Phone

Posters updated?: Took down Doctor Strange and Crimes of the Future, hung Elvis and The Black Phone outside. Put up Thor and Minions in the lobby.

Projection Admin 7/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
