NPP Projection Report 6/8 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Ingest E.T. to Theater 6 when the DCP finishes converting.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the Adventures in Black Cinema preshow and Sister Act 2 trailer for tonight. Ingested the Bound slide which was already converted to DCP, as well.

Built the playlist for the Set It Off preshow for tonight. Scheduled it in Theater 4 so everything could load, it will need to be manually started though so I removed the playlist from the schedule.

Built the Tangerine playlist. There was no credit offset given with the DCP and the keys do not open until Saturday morning, so I found the movie streaming online and put a lights up cue for the credits timecode I got from that. It was exactly the same length as the DCP so it should be pretty accurate, however I let Jack know so he can check it over before the screening on Saturday morning.

Added the Tip PSA to a few of the first run playlists for the coming week, which made them run a minute longer.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Mic was already set up in theater 4 for tonight’s intro.

Desmond sent an audio file of the song to play during the breakdown after the live performance during the Bound preshow. I will make a separate DCP of the slide with this as the audio, looped twice, to make things a bit easier for projection that night.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Recieved a new Trail Mix drive, and a Black Phone trailer on a separate USB thumb drive.

Received posters for Fall, which has an August release date.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Began converting E.T. to a DCP, it should finish around 7-7:30.

Kat sent over a drive with DCPs of College Boys Live, Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold, and Punk (short). Ingested College Boys to Theater 3 for Cristina to watch on Friday, Cleopatra to 2 for her to watch on Tuesday, and Punk to Theater 4 for next Friday.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected the Beyond the Black Rainbow print. It was all good. It’s packed up for return, though there were no return labels included. Vision Media usually includes them so I’ve checked with John and they sent a return label.

Ran some of the first two reels of Gremlins 2 with Desmond. It looks and sounds good, noted the volume levels.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, added info for Elvis which is pending on Deluxe; plus key info for Tangerine and Bound.

Maintenance/cleaning: 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Updated cues for playlists I added the Tip PSA to.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
