NPP Projection Report 7/13 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Converted the Supernova special slide to DCP and added it to the playlist.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Vengeance.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Devil in a Blue Dress and The Burning prints came.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Project A 2 print, 35mm Hong Kong trailers, and AGFA DCP drive we picked up by FedEx. A Sony courier picked up One False Move and I Know What You Did Last Summer when they dropped Devil off.

Cleared some old first run preshows for titles which have closed off servers.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the Devil in a Blue Dress print, it’s in good shape, some light scratching, and some reels were a bit dirty, but it overall should look very good on screen.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added tracking for the Lilya 4-Ever print, it’s coming on Friday.

Added info for Nope, it’s pending through Deluxe. It has a strange aspect ratio, 2.20:1 in a flat container, so slightly wider than 2.00:1. We’ll have to make a new lens file for this and figure out a masking stop we can use for it.

Maintenance/cleaning: Ran a reel on projector 2 in theater 4 to see how the focus looks after removing one of the studio guides. I checked both the scope and 1.85 lenses and both looked pretty perfect to me. I’m confident there shouldn’t be any issues getting the full screen in focus.

Chris from DMS remoted in to try and solve the 2 and 6 server glitch where the scheduled playlist loads and does not start. He said he purged some old assets/schedules and that it should be fine now. If you happen to run into this issue again, please note it in your blog.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in cues for Devil in a Blue Dress, The Descent, Wild Wild West, and Supernova.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
