NPP Projection Report 7/19 Admin
To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 1 is closed for tonight due to AC issues. I left the server in manual mode so playlists don’t start. The projector’s lamp is off, so no need to put it back on schedule for the shutdown.
Presentation Issues:
Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built preshow playlists for Out of Time, The Burning, and Lilya 4-Ever.
Built and scheduled the playlist for the private event in Theater 4 this Thursday.
Updated credit lighting cues in all playlists, and switched the light cue in the preshow cues pack to Up so we no longer need to add this cue to the first preshow clip in the playlists.
I also noticed the the credits for Minions start a few minutes earlier than the credit offset we were given. There is a very brief section of credits (less than 30 seconds) before a mid-credits scene, followed by 2 minutes of credits and them the crawl. The credit offset we got was for the crawl, so I moved the lights up cue in the playlist to right after the mid-credits scene. Since all Minions screenings were either over or had started when I did this, I updated cues for tomorrow onward.
Trailer Updates:
Special Events/ AV set up: Made the 2.20 lens file and set the masking stop in Theater 5. Tested the 2.20 lens/masking change pack in all houses, it’s all set but will double check once we have active keys for Nope.
Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):
Ordering/Receiving (content): Placed an order for Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind through Eclair, though for some reason it was rejected. I checked with John and Cristina to see if maybe we’re getting a drive. When we do figure out where it’s coming from, we’ll be showing the dubbed version on Saturday and the subtitled version on Sunday, so both versions of the DCP will need to be ingested to Theater 3.

Downloaded the Decision to Leave DCP for Cinema to watch on Friday. Left it transferring to the DCP hard drive to ingest to Theater 6.
Outgoing/Shipping (content): I emailed Sony about the Devil in a Blue Dress pickup, waiting to hear back.
Print/video Inspection: Checked the Legit Married DCP for the private event on 7/21. It looks good, though someone seems to have made the odd choice to add artificial specks of dust/dirt to it though it’s clearly digital. It’s definitely from their file/DCP and it’s not constant but rather 4 or 5 specks per minute which appear for one frame, but I still let Chenelle know. The soundtrack is also pretty hot, I set it to 4.2 in the playlist but depending on how big the crowd is it may need to be bumped up a little, but not much.
Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added tracking for Dirty Dancing, the tracking says it’s coming today but it still hadn’t been delivered by the time I left. I left the tracking page open, ingest to Theater 2 when it arrives.
