NPP Projection Report 7/20 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: When the first round in Theater 6 started, the light would not stay on. The touch panel was giving an “Unexpected light off” error followed by a Ballast communication failure warning. No one had been seated yet, so I stopped the preshow and hard rebooted the projector. When it came back on I struck the lamp to see if I got the error again. The lamp stayed on with no further warnings so I restarted the preshow.

Special Events/ AV set up: Wild Wild West is good to go for tonight. No mic set up, Desmond and the host won’t be using one for the intro. I ran a reel to check the framing after reading Will’s note from the tech and it looked good when I threaded the countdown in frame. Perhaps the framing needed to be adjusted slightly for the ratio, but it should be fine for tonight.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Downloaded the Sign O The Times DCP to our hard drive and ingested it to Theater 1. The screening isn’t until September, but we ultimately have more space on the server to hold it than the hard drive.

Nausicaa DCP should be coming today, ingest both subtitled and dubbed versions to Theater 3 when it does.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Devil in a Blue Dress and The Descent prints got picked up.

Print/video Inspection: Began inspecting the Lilya 4-Ever print. It looks nice, though a bit dirty and scratched at the heads and tails. Overall it should look very good!

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, added rep titles for September and info for a few DCPs which are already pending on Deluxe.

Added tracking and info for League of Super Pets, the drive should be coming on Friday. Added info for Bullet Train as well.

Maintenance/cleaning: Made some more copies of the inspection report for 4/6.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Built schedule and cues for Thursday 7/28. Filled in credit timing for the week’s 35mm screenings.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
