NPP Projection Report 7/26 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: Finished updating the schedule and cue sheets for the upcoming week with the exception of some 35mm pre-shows and some event DCPs and first run content that we have yet to receive; I double checked the times against filmbot and everything looks in order (note: Shouting at the Screen's show playlist will need to be built by end of day tomorrow -- I saw that the slides had been made up on the projection laptop -- the feature volume/credit offset information is on the asset tracking doc)

Presentation Issues: LampLOC board communication failure alarm from 11:16AM (this was from yesterday morning) is still active in theater 1's projector but is not affecting the presentation of content

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated all show playlists as much as I could given the limited amount of new pre-show content and trailers; the second update of the "OrangeandBlueSkies" trailer is being uploaded tonight for ingest tomorrow morning -- I would greatly appreciate if these playlists could be looked over once that content is added (note: I pulled the DC Superpets trailer from the PG and PG-13 trailer packs as that film begins screening the 29th -- the packs still run roughly 10 minutes each before the features with the new The Iron Giant trailer)

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Completed a walkthrough of theater 1 with Desmond and Miles Lennox (the leader of the Mo' Better Blues screening quartet) and showed them both the storage space beneath the curtain as well as the microphone mixer and spotlight board in addition to discussing how best to use the room and decide whether or not the group would need amps of their own/our mics hooked up for better sound; Desmond will confirm the details closer to the screening date but I believe Miles feels comfortable playing his set acoustically without the need for many mics (perhaps just one to introduce himself and the band/a connection for his keyboard amp)

Dirty Dancing in theater 2 this evening went smoothly

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Additional Barbarian posters were delivered and stored behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Tested the Escape from New York DCP in theater 1; picture looks great and the volume can be turned up a little louder than normal for the duration of the feature

Ran about a minute of reels 1 and 2 of Good Burger for Desmond in theater 4; the picture is crystal clear and the volume has been noted, however, it is worth mentioning that there was some lateral shakiness in the image coming from both projectors so I tightened down on the gate tension knob to prevent this from continuing during the tech (it may need to be adjusted again during the run of the Lilya-4-Ever print)

Finished re-inspecting The Burning and packaged the cores for return shipping; printed a return label and scheduled a pickup for tomorrow morning and left the print on the cart by the side entrance alongside the Crooklyn print

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Noted volume and credit offset information for the Escape from New York DCP and added this to the asset tracking doc; also noted volume and runtime information for Good Burger

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Removed The Burning and added letters for Good Burger

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by entrance?: Yes (with the two aforementioned prints on it)

Additional Notes: Still no sign of that part needed to fix the lights in theater 5; the flashlight has been kept in the server station for further use
