NPP Projection Report 8/10 Admin & Close
To do this evening/ was completed:
Presentation Issues: During one of my walkthroughs I noticed the left rear surround speaker in theater 6 was crackling; it wasn't audible from the center or sides of the room, but passing through the door to the auditorium and standing just beneath the speaker I could hear it crackle very clearly (this seems to only occur during moments in the film when the bass is amplified or when the mix is peaking on the high end)

Last round in theater 2 did not start as scheduled; had to be started/unpaused manually after a 5 minute delay

Special Events/ AV set up: Scheduled staff screenings for Bodies Bodies Bodies; Jungle Fever screening in theater 4 this evening went swimmingly and the print has been left with tails out for re-inspection in 4/6
Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):
Ordering/Receiving (content): Received a new trailer mix DCP for the week of 8/12 and downloaded and ingested all first run keys for the upcoming week; Inside Man was delivered and brought up to 4/6
Outgoing/Shipping (content):
Print/video Inspection: I took a look at the first reel of Tiger Cage in theater 1 this afternoon; the picture is moderately scratched throughout and some of the extensive splicing threw off the framing but the sound is clean and the volume has been noted (I did not have a chance to look at the trailers this afternoon but those all have mono soundtracks and will likely have to be played around the same volume as the feature)
Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes (all relevant information for Tiger Cage has been updated)
Maintenance/cleaning: I removed the bulb in the ceiling in theater 5 that had gone out (and that Matthew had made note of in his email) in an attempt to replace it but in doing so pulled the bulb and some of the wiring from its metal cap which, unbeknownst to me, was lodged too tightly in the ceiling fixture, hence the tension and the light being stripped as it was taken out

Additional Notes: The DCPII hard drive was left connected to theater 3's server behind the lobby bar; I disconnected it and brought it back up to the 4/6 office
