NPP Projection Admin 9/22



To do this evening/ was completed: Teched new feature playlists, Moonage Daydream and Don't Worry Darling in T2, Blonde in T4. All features look and sound great. I noticed there was Moonage preshow attached to the Don't Worry playlist so I swapped it out for the right content. Moonage has a very slight pillarboxing/bend throughout the duration (slight black bars on the top half of the sides of the frame)--I don't think it's necessary to adjust masking for the feature, but just making note of it here.

Ingested keys for In A Lonely Place.

Downloaded and ingested updated Fall Welcome/Feature elements, playlists updated.

Removed various features/playlists from TMS: Hot Fuzz, Stardust, Emily the Criminal, Nope, Bodies Bodies Bodies and Top Gun: Maverick. Also removed preshow content for Beast, Super Pets, The Bad Guys.

Locally ingested Thirst to T1.

Presentation Issues: I thought I heard a slight crackling coming from the left side surround speaker when I was playing the Ticket to Paradise trailer. I rewound the trailer to about the 00:35 mark and heard it again. It was rather faint, so I ran a channel ID test and couldn't replicate the sound so it might just be part of the sound mix.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
