NPP Projection Report 9/15 Admin
To do this evening/ was completed:
Presentation Issues:
Preshow Clips/Playlist: Made some updates to the Kevin Geeks Out playlist after the tech.
Screened some preshow clips for Kat, all will need adjustments except the Blonde one, so I cleared all the others from the server and hard drive and ingested the Blonde clip to the TMS.
Trailer Updates:
Special Events/ AV set up: Kevin came by the theater to test the setup for his show tonight. All went well, I set things up pretty much the same as with Spoons, just without the spotlight board on the stage and only 2 mics. Levels for the mics are set, and there are two stands with the smaller mic holders attached. Kevin’s laptop has USB-C only, so there’s an adapter for the HDMI connection under the curtain. He preferred the 1.78 HDMI macro, so I added that cue to the playlist. I connected his laptop to the mic input on the sound processor which is what we did for Spoons after they had issues playing their laptop sound with the HDMI. Seemed to work well during the tech, one short and very low res clip came out muffled through the speakers, not sure why since everything else sounded normal. He mentioned turning up the audio for it on his slideshow after we finished, but if that doesn’t make a difference he didn’t seem to mind much since it’s such a short clip and he said it’s mostly visual. Overall the clips are of varying volume so it will have to be adjusted for each clip. I also unplugged the stationary (wash) spotlights so we can just use the moving ones for the show. The “single spot” setting, which illuminates the right side of the stage, looked good with his slideshow and clips on screen. Should run pretty smoothly. There are two points where house lights should go down and spotlights turned off, he and Cristina will go over that with Jack before the theater opens for this.

Kat dropped off a hard drive with Sugar Hill and Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, ingested them to Theater 2 and 3, respectively.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added info for Thirst and The Birdcage. Still no tracking for Stardust, but it says “Ready to Ship” on the Deluxe portal and Deluxe says tracking will show up soon, so it should be overnighted.
Maintenance/cleaning: Replaced the rear surround speakers in Th3. This took up most of the admin time today. Juan was working on the seats in Th1, so I ended up removing the old speakers and their mounts myself. Juan drilled the wall mounts for the new ones onto the wall, I mounted the new speakers on, screwed them in, connected them, and tested them with the channel ID test. They sound perfectly clear.
