NPP Projection Report 10/11 Close (Notes for tomorrow, as well)


To do this evening/ was completed: Downloaded preshow for Triangle of Sadness and built the playlist. I know there's a lot going on with NewFest and everything, but this opens tomorrow. It should have been built before today. Feature cs n be QC’d tomorrow as well.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: All first run and Wallace & Gromit playlists are ready to be scheduled. Cue sheets can be started tomorrow, too.

Converted and ingested all NewFest slides and trailers.

Downloaded Dwayne Johnson preshow clip for Black Adam and Decision to Leave trailer for next week’s trailer packs.

Built playlists for the first five NewFest screenings: Brooklyn Brunch, Experiments on Existence, All the World’s a Stage, Three Tidy Tigers, and Vulveeta. These should be good to use for the screenings.

I let Joe know we need the drive Brooklyn Horror Festival sent them for the opening night screening at Prospect. It has their preshow, ads, and transitionals. Once it is brought to NPP, please ingest what we need and build and schedule the playlist, this needs to be filled in on Thursday’s cue sheet as well. For the playlist check against the event memo and the following run of show from the festival organizer:

Trailer Updates: Updated R trailer packs for tomorrow with the Banshees trailer.

Special Events/ AV set up: Candyman screening went very well. Reels are wound heads out in the cabinet under the bench for reinspection.

I replaced the converter for the TVs in Trees, no luck unfortunately. I was able to connect the Apple TV to one of the TVs directly (which didn’t work with the old converter) but I think it’s something with the splitter. I took it up to 4/6, it’s powering on normally, something to try tomorrow might be to try connecting the converter to the video RCA input on the splitter and connecting the three TVs to the Y Pb and Pr outputs, they were connected to the RCA outputs before but the cables look like component video cables. Not sure how they would’ve worked connected to the RCA outputs before, but let me know if this works.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Left Black Adam ingesting to the TMS, 5.1 version can be deleted tomorrow and the playlist can be made.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Moonage Daydream is officially gone, cleared it off the servers.

Print/video Inspection: Checked Nocebo again, it’s definitely 1.66 and should be presented with this lens file and masking. Not sure which masking cue was being used today, but the “masking FLAT 166 (upstairs)” cue masked it perfectly. Use the 1.66 Lens/Masking Change pack in the playlist.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
