Projection Admin & Close 10/26 ~ A Good Show! Plus Notes. BIG day today..big day ahead.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! We had a super fun screening of The Faculty tonight. It was a packed house!! I'm very pleased with how it went, though I did notice we'll have to deep clean the projectors. There's oil and dirt caked into area that folks aren't always told to clean, and there's a few smells that make it clear we've gotta sweep 'em. We will go over these things once the dust really and truly starts to settle a bit. That being said, it was truly a great evening and McKegg was very helpful with keeping a keen eye on the show with me, helping to rewind and inspect reels whilst I projected. Some information that might be useful that I told McKegg: Turn the rectifiers (breakers) on about 30 minutes prior to their start time, and strike the lamps about ten minutes before the start time. Heating everything up too quickly can be disastrous and puts stress on the machines/lamps when attempting to connect/ reach a certain level of brightness. These actions will promote longevity!

Met with Cristina about the Shouting at the Screen event tomorrow, in which we will need 3 wired mics and we'll tap in directly to the Christie with an HDMI. We don't have the Aja set up that we do in T1 right now. I charged the bluetooth presenter in the 4/6 booth and it's on the desk by the main computer. We will also need the the DJ set up in Trees tomorrow evening! I have place the mixer and xlrs in T2. Jack, if you could gaff some of them and then test the hdmi connection, that would be great. The slide show is up on the laptop. I'll touch base with you in the morning to assist.

Presentation Issues:

Please continue to check TMS/cue sheets every day before the shows.  Banshees screenings tend to overlap a lot. Might have to start some manually. Aftersun screenings sometimes overlap but not by much- can keep what’s on the tms (for example—on Sunday in T4-only a min or two difference. Will be fine.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I finished a load of cue sheets (tons of special events right now) and updated the TMS, apart from Aftersun credits,  Demons, etc. --will need to be done tomorrow.
Please keep watchful eyes on what can be built and and settled into the cue sheets as soon as possible. It's super annoying that for a good chunk of first run films (including some films that have been making festival rounds like After Sun, Banshee, and our future feature, Bones and All) tend to not have their KDMs available until the very last minute, but we can still build out the playlists and then add in content when the time comes. I really appreciate the work that you're all doing, we just gotta keep making sure that things are getting patched up where they can the second we receive content.

I built the playlist for Shouting at the Screen, Abbott & Costello, Halloween 1978, Night of the Living Dead, Aftersun (some of the information was incorrect on the memo, like the date and times for intro, but these have now been updated).

I ingested new keys for Triangle of Sadness, Aftersun, Abbott & Costello
Got the credits offset for Abbott & Costello, Halloween, and Banshees.

The playlist for Real Women Have Curves needs to be built. I got the credits offset and added it to the cue sheet.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Setup the microphone in T4 for Desmond's intro. Mic got setup in Trees for The Faculty votes. All cables and so forth have been stripped.

Tomorrow morning Gerard has asked that we set up a Google Meet with our laptop in T3 for 12pm. It will be an hour long. This will happen again on 11/3, but at 11:30am.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):
