NPP Projection Open 11/20



To do this evening/ was completed: Spent some time attempting to set up a cable projection in Trees for the World Cup. Found the right channel on the 4/6 monitor (not 583--that channel kept prompting me to subscribe) but couldn't get anything from the projector in Trees. I've only used it when projecting with an HDMI connection, but I cycled through all inputs and got nothing. Going through the manual I could only find procedure for an HDMI connected projection. I tried to open the game on the bar TVs through Apple TV, but both Fox NOW and Peacock wouldn't let me proceed when I tried to select the game to stream.

Presentation Issues: All three first round OCAP presentations (The Menu in T7, Banshees T4 and Black Panther in T1) were scheduled as CCAP instead. About halfway through Banshees MOD notified me about this, stating there were no captions on screen. I proposed that I could quickly switch files with a 1-2 minute pause and a black screen, or alternatively we could ride it out with the CCAP. MOD elected to keep the shows going uninterrupted. The 2:05 OCAP Black Adam was scheduled as CCAP as well, but I updated the scheduler and went through the rest of the week to make sure each OCAP screening was scheduled correctly. This morning I cross-referenced the cue sheet with the TMS/sales, but did not think to refer to the Nitehawk website itself.

Built a playlist for Ishtar--credit offsets will be teched soon.

Downloaded and ingested the OCAP version of The Menu. It was attached as a zip file in the KDM email sent for the feature. Playlist has been built and scheduled.

Built a playlist for The Fabelmans, rebuilt the Strange World playlist and scheduled the rest of the week in the TMS. Cue sheets have been updated.

Scheduled a pickup for the The Woman Chaser tomorrow. The print is headed to Alamo Drafthouse in San Francisco, and their Fedex number has been entered for billing. Print is resting on the cart near the side entrance.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
