NPP Projection Report 11/19 Close


To do this evening/ was completed: When removing seat 601 in Theater 6, I could not get the front bolts out with the drill and I had to use a wrench. When I went to replace the seat, I couldn't get the front bolts to screw in all the way with the drill, either. Might be something for Juan to look at.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Deleted a bunch of old show playlists. Built Glass Onion. Also, remade the R and PG-13 trailer packs for next week since they were made as a show playlist and not a playlist pack meaning they can't be added to the main playlists.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We got four White Noise one sheets, they're in the caddy.

Also unpacked a poster for Violent Night. It comes out at the beginning of next month, we probably won't open it, but I saved it anyway.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Glass Onion CCAP and OCAP versions to Theater 1 directly and transferred them to Theater 2.

Ingested Ishtar to Theater 6.

Ingested All That Breathes to Theater 4 for a private event on the 29th.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Reinspected The Woman Chaser and packed it up to return. Heads up I brought the better split reel up to 4/6. We should probably get another one since the one that was up here kept giving me a really bad wind on one of the reels.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Made a list for equipment bins in Theaters 1 & 2, as well as Trees. Some of it we'll have, but there's quite a few things we'll need more of. Also think getting some extra mixers to keep in Theaters 3 & 4 would be a good idea, to permanently setup mics for intros and Q&As.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Black Adam with captions was scheduled for the last round in Theater 2, was supposed to be a regular Black Panther 2. I noticed right when preshow started and changed it and told MOD while the theater was still being cleaned.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
