NPP Projection Report 12/7 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Very soon we'll be establishing a few set responsibilities for each shift/day of the week. Though certain things should be done every day, like checking the cue sheets and schedule. The closer should check the next day's every night, unless there are multiple events in the evening in which case it can be done during admin for the next day.

Lillian also will probably have more to add, she wasn't feeling well on her way out today.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: We went over trailers vs. no trailers for special events with intros during the cinema meeting. From now on as a rule of thumb we should have the 5 minutes of trailers, with lights down, before the intro. Certain events will have no trailers at all, which will be mentioned in the event memo.

Also just noting that the preshow for The Wiz tonight was 35 minutes (not including the lights down trailers, with those, it was 40 minutes).

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Took several pictures to add to the Spoons setup guide, which was previously printed out in Theater 1 but is now also in the manual, started annotating and adding pictures. I also added some general information on the mixer, mostly in the form of an annotated picture, which is also in the manual. Will also add detailed pictures for using the spotlight mixer, DJ setup, Shouting at the Screen, etc.

Lillian also teched the karaoke setup with Eliel, it went great and she added this to the manual as well, with pictures.

Came in to assist McKegg with the screening of The Wiz. He effectively ran this on his own and did a great job. The intro and screening went very well.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Brought a couple DCPs to UPS.

Print/video Inspection: Ran some of Batman Returns with Desmond in Theater 1. Think this sounds better on Dolby A, dialogue sounded a bit hissy on SR. Wrote the volume down for Theater 1. Looks and sounds really good overall!

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Juan and I vacuumed up in Theater 2. Most of the construction debris is gone. We're going to put a tarp on the wall as the construction continues, so I moved things away from the brick wall. I also vacuumed around the rack and cleared dust out of the equipment on it, also dusted the openings on the Christie.

Lillian cleaned the shutters on the Theater 4 Centurys.

Ordered two more mixers, mics, and some HDMI adapters for the Theater 1, 2, and Trees equipment/cable bins.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): I checked over the cue sheets this morning.
