NPP Projection Admin 1/17 (Jack/Alec)



To do this evening/ was completed: Tech'd NoBudge shorts with Desmond in T2--volume and aspect ratio have been noted--new playlist built. Checked volume for all of the new in house trailers--these are listed on the dry-erase board--playlists with these trailers have been updated. Bumped volume for The Shining to 6.0. Re-ingested the NoBudge holding slide--looks like it was deleted from TMS. 

Re-inspected 1990: The Bronx Warriors and scheduled a pickup for tomorrow 3-6 pm. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated the playlist for the private event tomorrow, the host made some changes to the timing of the preshow.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested several new sets of KDMs: Skinamarink, Avatar, Babylon, The Whale, Puss in Boots, and Times Square.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Screened some of Bringing Out the Dead with Cristina, the print looks and sounds great! Set the volume for 6.5 on both processors.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: I rearranged all the power cables for the Th 1&2 spotlights so the moving ones are plugged into their own outlet, so we can get a switch installed to turn them on/off from the booth. I just need to get a small extension cord for Th2 to plug one of the stationary lights into a different outlet, but everything else is all set. We can move forward with getting an electrician to work on this. FYI, spots are fully functioning as is, no need to plug in anything. -Alec

Also worked on a bunch of manual updates today, added pictures for Trees Lounge setups and for the whole process for making new channels on the Christie projectors. -Alec

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
