To do this evening/ was completed: Built playlists for Whale, Skinamarink, Escape from NY and Broker. Scheduled the week in the TMS. Ingested Dr Strangelove and sent it to T2. Re-inspected AI: Artificial Intelligence--ready for outgoing shipping. Just as a reminder: there is a significant dent on one of the shipping cans. Seems like the reels fit comfortably enough but just FYI.

Not sure I ever officially mentioned this in a blog, but the moving spotlights in Theater 1 can be turned on from the booth. There is a breaker labeled “MOVING SPOTS,” just switch that on for any event we need to use them for, and remember to switch back off when the event is done. (Alec)

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist:

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Chenelle dropped off a blu-ray for a private event on 2/21--we'll DCP it soon.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Bringing out the Dead was picked up.

Print/video Inspection: RRR sound remains a mystery. I tried playing around with a bunch of levels on the channel alignments, turning down the gain on the amps. The crackle was unchanged. Dylan from Variance has been asking around about this and had some general suggestions, most of which Id already tried. I explained everything I tried to DMS and that the distributor is convinced it’s not the DCP (they admit the mix is unusually loud, but doesn’t go into the red), so it’s possible it’s something with the auditorium calibration that we only hear with this film since it gets so loud. The Atmos version of the DCP will be here tomorrow, hopefully it is mixed a bit quieter. (Alec)

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: Looked into the Digital Soundhead in Theater 1 after projector 1 defaulted to SR during each reel which was run on it last night. After adjusting a few things with no luck I conferred with Roger, who from my description inferred the soundhead was broken and suggested I try switching it out. I pulled one of the digital heads off one of the T6 Simplexes and mounted and connected it to the T1 projector. Same exact issue. Will continue speaking with Roger, it must be the wiring. (Alec)
