Projection Close 1/14

To do this evening/ was completed: We've got a request from MOD to keep showing sports games in Trees Lounge. More info to follow soon...I'll update tomorrow morning.

Presentation Issues: Same to follow. T7 did not present any issues whatsoever.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I noticed that both Avatar and M3gan sounded too low, so I bumped the sound up in the playlist--not by a wide margin, just loud enough so that large crowds will be satisfied and smaller crowds will be comfortable.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: I ingested all the NoBudge shorts into T2. There is a playlist for our tech on Tuesday 1/17, with Desmond. It's under NoBudgeTech_013023. All the shorts are in order as seen in the memo.

This could also go under the preshow section, but I ingested the Generic_Shorts preshow since we took it off the TMS a little while back (at least that's my assumption) since we had storage issues. This will need to be used in the final NoBudge playlist after we tech/finalize assets.

Took a chair out in T6 and put it back.

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Confirmed ingest for Legally Blonde and NoBudge

Maintenance/cleaning: I have no idea why it did not dawn on me until this evening to take the black shipping reel off the projector in T2 to bring it down for us to use and keep in 4/6. It is in perfect condition! So, we now have two shipping reels that will come in handy for inspecting when we need to keep prints inspected but not on house reels.

I deep cleaned the second projector in T6. The penthouse, gate, and basement reader sections are in better condition. The lamp house was really dusty so carefully cleaned around the bulb. No major oil seepage, but the dust and dirt had accumulated on and around the cathode pin, which isn't ideal. What's so insane to me is that the date on the inside of this reads May, 2001--more than twenty years ago this lamp house was installed either here at the Nitehawk or whenever it was manufactured! That doesn't feel that long ago, but then again, it feels like a solid chunk of time since I was five? six?  Motor control is good. Gears see a bit tight/squeaky. Greased a few gears. There's definitely some rusting, but nothing too major. We should be treating these as if we regularly run film on them.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked!
