NPP Projection Report 3/23 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: During the screening of Spirited Away the lamp went out a few minutes prior to the changeover between reels 3 and 4. I managed to strike the bulb and called Lillian to ask about potential fixes in the event that it went dark again. As I was making the switch between reels, the bulb went off just as I had anticipated, and after trying and failing to strike it twice, I called Lillian again after bringing up the house lights and communicating the issue to MOD. She walked me through resetting the power to the projector and carefully turning the bulb from the back of the machine in order to better align it. This quick fix seemed to work as the bulb remained lit for the rest of the show and no other issues occurred. I then made an announcement over the microphone to let the audience understand the issue and started running the print shortly after. Overall the screening ended up running behind by about 5 minutes total.

Preshow Clips/Playlist:

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Spirited Away screening in theater 1 was sold out and, aside from the minor technical mishap described above, went over smoothly (picture looked good and sound was turned up for the larger crowd)

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Converted a couple Music Driven/Doc N Roll trailers (Cymande and Heaven Stood Still) to DCP via Dropbox link and ingested these to the TMS; ran Star Wars: A New Hope through HandBrake and MKV again since the file that was originally added to DCP-o-Matic did not have the opening crawl to the film (this will finish running through MKV overnight and can be converted to DCP tomorrow afternoon)

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Spirited Away print is tails out and ready for re-inspection beneath the rewind table in booth 1
