Projection Admin 3/22 Alec and Lillian



To do this evening/ was completed: Had our cinema meeting today! Feeling very good about what spring/summer will usher in...more projects. I do just want to make a quick note: Projectionists, please do not forget to tag the programmers (including Alec and I) in an inspection report for a heavily damaged print. If you inspect anything that has a 3 or 4 level of damage, alert us immediately. This is mostly in response to The Fugitive, which was in rather poor condition. For a number of reasons, it is crucial we prioritize print inspection, no matter how much time we have (both small and wide margins of it). 

We'll be taking a look at a few things on Friday with Desmond: The Hunger, Matilda, Interview with a Vampire and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Next, there will be an FOH meeting in T3 and in Trees from 11am to 2pm. 

Presentation Issues: Not an issue, but no one showed up for the first screening of Ant-Man in T6, so we scrapped it. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd Holy Mountain in T5. This was ingested locally. Instead of transferring it to the TMS, I built a playlist in the T5 IMS, which can be manually pulled up when the time comes. I'll be sure to make a note of this. 

We received the Memorial slide for Lance Reddick. As per the distro's request, this has been added to the John Wick playlists. The slide plays immediately after the feature. 

Playlist for Eternal Sunshine has been built. Please take note of the Memo, for information about the slides. 

Trailer Updates:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Made DCPs of all the slides Desmond sent over today for the month of April. Slides now available on the TMS; White Chicks, Bring It On, Jumanji. 

KDMs delivered and ingested for Cocaine Bear, EEAAO, John Wick. 

The KDM for The Hunger will be active starting tomorrow morning. 

Received the KDM for Matilda today. 

We should be getting that Star Wars BluRay (Amazon order) this evening--for the rental on 3/28. I've left a note for Will to start ripping/converting this once it arrives. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Breathless is on the black cart and a pickup has been scheduled!

Maintenance/cleaning: Alec adjusted the gate bands in T4 this morning and got reacquainted with the platter system in T1 since we'll be using it for Oppenheimer this summer! I did an inspection in T2 to get a 70mm quote from BLS. They got back to us in record timing. Matthew, Alec and I will speak with them next week and I'll see if we can match their numbers/service offer(s) with CTS. 
The rewind table in T2 seems salvageable, though we'll need a few parts including some new belts. Found some old/faded pink noise test film and a microswitch in excellent condition...

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Added info for Holy Mountain and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. All we need to add to the cue sheets is info for Dungeons N Dragons, Star Wars (rental), and The Hunger.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
