Projection Admin 3/29 Alec/ Lil

To do this evening/ was completed: Cinema meeting went well. Super fast! We have all content.

One more thing: PLEASE NOTE - Projectionists, it is super important that you please, please tag us when you inspect a print that contains concerning damage and before you make any substantial adjustments/repairs, text or call Alec and I. Remember - although it is part of our jobs to make certain repairs/and or adjustments that are appropriate, we are not a lab, and depending on the Distro, you might need permission in order to make any changes. Some repairs cause more damage and pose more of a threat to projection. In such cases where damage is leaning towards the extreme (listed as Poor on the report), I would rather we get a new print or swap out some reels.

I have updated the inspection report for Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Reels 1 & 5 will be fine for projection. Here is the note (please make sure to read the part about those packed reels! Thanks!)

UPDATE: I have adjusted the inspection columns for reels 1 & 5. This print will run fine, just keep an eye on it. I repaired a few other bits of edge damage and cleaned up using the xacto knife. Please remember to make sure your tape repairs are clean--some of the adustments made prior to this could have snagged. This print suffers from slight warping, oily residue, vinegar syndrome (hard to sniff out, but it's there) a few heavy emulsion scratches (only at heads/tails, really). Middle sections look good overall! Nice SRD track. PLEASE NOTE: Reels 1 - 4 are packed to the brim and will likely spill when you go to thread up. Be extra careful when you do. -LH

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the David Lynch preshow content.

We're waiting on the preshow content for Super Mario Bros (it's listed as TBD on the trailer sheet), but I've built most of the playlist, so we just need to fill out the rest once Kat puts that on the drive or confirms another preshow.

Got the offset info filled out on the cue sheets for Thelma & Loise, Interview with the Vampire, Blue Velvet and Texas Chainsaw Massacre II.

Per Kat's request, I deleted the 15min and 5min preshow for Cars Gone Wild since she's making adjustments to them. For now, it's just the Thelma & Louise playlist that needs those, so we can add those two bits of preshow tomorrow eve, when they'll be uploaded to the drive.

Trailer Updates: Built the trailer pack for A1_PG

Special Events/ AV set up: Screening went well in T1 this morning.
Chenelle brought over the Creed DVD for next week. This was listed as Creed III on the Events Calendar, but it is the first Creed

FYI: We will be getting a new DCP for Heaven Stood Still as part of the Music Driven show. We've got one ingested already, which-for now-I'm going to keep on the TMS just in case. I'll pass along info once we've got it.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a few posters for Dungeons n Dragons.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Keys for Air will be delivered tomorrow.

Keys for Thelma & Louise open Friday, but we have them.

We received the print of The Virgin Suicides. This has been brought down to T1 and is ready for inspection.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: After our staff screenings on Friday, we will be teching with Desmond/Cristina. They'll want to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Blue Velvet

Added some additional notes to the Ronin print report.
