NPP Projection Blog 4/25 Closing



To do this evening/ was completed: The single event tonight gave me a chance to focus on the cue sheets, TMS scheduling, and prepping for White Lightning next week 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I downloaded the preshow clips (Generic_70s_15 and 5 mins, AreYouThere_5mins). The trailer list says "Generic_70s_25mins," but all I could find was the 5mins in the DCP downloads folder on the drive. 

I tried to ingest them as they were and I got error messages. So I ran them through DCP-o-matic and that seemed to do the trick. I managed to build the initial Are You There God playlists at the tail end of my shift, but please double check them so the cue sheets are accurate

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: The Cymande event in Theater 1 went great! Intro and Q+A went smoothly and the DJ set up in Trees was super simple. Everything is broken down and back in its place. 

Q+A added to the recordings folder on the Drive. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Keys for Are You There, God? are uploaded

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: I took a look at White Lightning just to familiarize myself with the print, pull my cues, and take pictures. It is in beautiful shape

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): I worked on filling out the cue sheets for next week. The automation lined up until Monday - Wednesday where every playlist was scheduled for their ticketed showtime, not the preshow start time. I adjusted that and automation should be set, even the OCAP showtimes. They should be good to go, but please someone cross-reference them for me as well. 

Event, Guardians 3, and Are You There God? timing still need to be added.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
