NPP Projection Report 4/12 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: Build/schedule Dazed & Confused, update timing on cue sheet.

Put up Renfield letters, move the poster outside (replace whatever has been open the longest), and hang up Evil Dead in the lobby.

Continue converting NoBudge shorts to DCP.

Check tomorrow's cue sheets and TMS schedule.

Karaoke and White Chicks screening tonight.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Scheduled staff screenings for Renfield.

Downloaded/ingested Scream Queen trailer.

Built and scheduled Serial Mom and private D&D event playlists.

Downloaded 420 15min and 5min preshow clips, please ingest and build the Dazed & Confused playlist.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops in T4 for White Chicks, framing and focus are good for tonight. Increased gate tension a bit on P1, but it's loosened all the way on P2 (the tension knobs have a different range on each gate--i.e. the loosest setting on P2 is tighter than the loosest setting on P1--so tension should be about even between the two projectors). Shouldn't need to be adjusted on either projector.

Mic is set up for the intro.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Checked Scream Queen and B Sides trailers for volume.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Renfield, Scream 6, and D&D keys.

Doing more conversions for NoBudge. "Horny Kid" is converting on the Booth 1 iMac (to DCPIII), "La Piscina" in 4/6 (this one is going onto the Preshow & Trailers drive). The video files are all on the iMac in booth 1 as well as the DCPII drive. The plan is to tech these tomorrow, so try and get as many done as possible tonight. We might not be able to look at the whole program tomorrow.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Taking the Paprika print with me tonight to drop off at Williamsburg tomorrow morning.

Print/video Inspection: Put Corpo Celeste and Ronin on house reels.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added info for Beau is Afraid, Evil Dead Rise, and Chevalier.

Maintenance/cleaning: I put the grey rectifier back in P1 T1. Immediately lowered the amperage for the light back to around 130, where it was before. Compared light from both projector and they look good. Tested the light for a good hour and it held strong.

Also checked the turret tension on both T1 projectors. Those of us who worked here December '21 -February '22 will remember the persistent jitter & bobbing in/out focus from P2, this was the cause. If you're ever running loops and notice the image is more wobbly than it should be, grab a 9/16 wrench and tighten the nut at the top of the turret.

Made automation cues for fader levels 7.2 and 7.7 and uploaded to all servers.

I’m probably needlessly restating info here but looking at the speed control box from the T2 rewind bench we need another carbon brush for the dial:

You can see here that the carbon doesn’t make contact with the dial when put in place.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Completed next week's cue sheets with the following exceptions:

-The early open first runs next Thursday (Beau and Evil Dead, which we haven't received yet)

-The DCP for the 4/19 private which we also haven't received

-Dazed & Confused (preshow is downloading so playlist can be built and updated tonight)

-Shouting at the Screen (just need credit offset for the feature)

All other special event timing is filled in and accurate. 

A reminder: for DCPs, we very rarely need to wait until we're able to tech for credit offset information. This is included on the ingest letter (attached as a PDF to the e-delivery notification email, included as a paper copy in the box with the drive, or printed on the drive itself), or if not you can probably also find it on the Deluxe portal. While we should always tech and double check these, they are reliably accurate.
