NPP Projection Report 4/15 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: I left both of the lamps for the T1 35mm projectors on for a while today, about 4 hours, and they stayed on the whole time, which is both a good and a bad thing. Good in that it makes me feel good about Bring It On tomorrow, bad in that we still can't say for sure that the power supply is the issue. (For those not keeping up Roger asked me to switch the power supplies between projectors yesterday to make sure that is definitely the issue, hence why I had both lamps on). I wrote Jack some special instructions for tomorrow just in case something happens.

I tried removing the penthouse reader from P1 in T4 and switching it with one from T6, but they are different models and the one from T4 (Cat. No 701) has a power cable, while the one from T6 (Cat. No 702) does not. The 702 is still attached to P1 in T4 but is NOT functioning. I will have to pull the cables and switch them along with the penthouse readers. I should be able to get this done before Corpo Celeste (sort of depends on if I come in for an admin on Tuesday or come in to support McKegg for Melancholia, which is TBD based on the outcome of tomorrow's screening), but if not we can just bypass the penthouse and use the SR track for that.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Spoons went very well! HDMI worked perfectly. All cables, mics, and such are back in the bin under the curtain, wireless mic mixer reconnected to the CP750 and mic input channel changed back to surrounds. Spotlight control board back and connected in the booth.

Print/video Inspection: I inspected reel 2 of Melancholia, it's good overall but there's a few feet of fairly serious edge damage and emulsion scratches about 2/3 in. I made a few new repairs but it will go through the projector fine there'll just be a momentary loss of focus as the film is quite creased. I tagged Desmond in the inspection report so he's aware.
