NPP Projection Admin 5/23



To do this evening/ was completed: Cool World finally got picked up.

Ingested keys for Past Lives--they aren't active until tomorrow 5/24.

Tech'd the Total Recall playlist--all in order but: the DCP we made is slightly letterboxed. Wondering if we should make a new one.

Ran reel one of Nighthawks for Cristina--the fading of the print isn't cause for concern. Volume logged.

Tech'd Driver 23 with Cristina and John, volume logged. Ran loops and set up a mic for the intro tonight, just turn the power strip and mixer on. Cleaned the projectors as well.

Tech'd the Hey Arnold short + reels one and five of Harriet the Spy--volumes logged. Hey Arnold looked just fine in 1:85. 

Harriet presented two oddities: reel one played just fine in SR-D, however I mistakenly bypassed the digital soundhead for reel five so that played in SR. Desmond alerted me to a sort of slight, repetitive sound that was coming in from the front speakers from time to time. To my ear it kind of mimicked the sound of film going through a projector. I went into the theater and heard it too, though I had to focus to do so--I don't think it's cause for concern. Desmond then told me he heard the same noise during Hey Arnold which also ran in SR on the same projector (P2). Reel one of Harriet didn't produce the sound. Guess we'll have to run the reel again in digital on P2 to see if it can be replicated.

The other Harriet oddity: halfway through reel five the projector sprockets started to make a lot more noise, as if the threading had come loose. I checked and everything looked fine, no effect on screen either, but I still stopped the motor and assessed the threading. Advanced the reel by hand and started the motor again, the noise didn't reoccur.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
