NPP Projection Report 5/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: The Five Devils trailer was ingested to the TMS; Oscar Boyson dropped off his Total Recall blu-ray this evening for the private event on 5/25 (began running this through MakeMKV)

Special Events/ AV set up: Buck Alamo screening with intro and Q&A went smoothly (mics and chairs were put back) as did the Gremlins 2 private event in T6 this evening

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Master Gardener posters were delivered and stored behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content): A single canister containing reels 3 and 4 of Driver 23 was delivered this evening (no trace of the rest of the film, this was all that FedEx left us -- update: I checked this against the tracking information and all parcels (1) were listed as delivered -- update 2: the director of the film was contacted and provided additional tracking information + Lillian confirmed the rest of the print would be delivered Thursday); ingested 5.1 and 7.1 files of Past Lives from EclairPlay

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Began inspecting Raw Deal in booth 1 (reels 1-4); will finish looking at the rest tomorrow afternoon -- also added stills to the shared drive

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Threw away some of the poster boxes that had been piling up behind 3/7 and consolidated a few past titles' posters/added them to the trivia section in the poster cubby

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
