NPP Projection Report 5/21 Close


To do this evening/ was completed: The ACs came back on in 3/7 and 5 shortly after I got in today, and they stayed on. I had to switch the T5 unit back to the cooling setting (it was only on fan mode when it turned back on) and there's been some strange occurrences with the AC units in general where they change their temperature setting seemingly randomly, so I still think they should be looked at when Palco comes tomorrow.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Continued building the Apple playlist, it needs the intro slide, though.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: I built up the two Mulan reels we have on the T4 platter. Unfortunately the brains I took from Williamsburg don't work with these, so I modified the ones we had so they should turn the deck continuously.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Deleted Master Gardener from T6 and ingested Guardians.

Print/video Inspection: Finished inspecting reel 5 of Harriet, Jack noted some damage in this, there was heavy creasing and edge/perf damage along with some emulsion scratches, all of which was previously repaired fairly well. There was another less severe section of creases later on in the reel but no tears or heavy scratches. Other than that, the print was in very good shape. I also inspected the Hey Arnold short since Desmond would like to watch this on Tuesday. I took some pictures of it and uploaded them to the drive. Jack, if you took any pictures of Harriet when you were inspecting it could you upload those, too?

A note about the Hey Arnold short, I'm almost positive this was intended to be shown in 1.85 since it was shown theatrically in the late 90s, but it's printed in 1.37 (animated films are usually hard matted to the intended ratio). So we have the option between ratios if we do end up showing it.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
