NPP Projection Report 6/13 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: I told McKegg not to schedule anything in Theater 6 for Friday, since any missing content would start auto-ingesting tonight. We can schedule Friday's Th6 shows tomorrow during admin and any content missing will ingest automatically, just make sure nothing is going by the time the first round in this theater starts.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Spider-Verse was scheduled for the second round in Theater 2 instead of Transformers. This was changed on the updated film schedule we got last Tuesday. When checking the schedule and the cues, always make sure you're using the latest schedule we've received. Transformers hadn't been ingested to Th2, but luckily this was caught early enough that I updated the schedule and all content needed for the Transformers playlist ingested in time.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: I checked the 1.37 lenses and plates in Theater 1 to make sure they are centered and properly mask the image for the screen, we haven't used them in a while and moved the projectors before/after 2001 screenings. The image on screen was perfectly centered from both projectors, just had to file the plates down a bit. All good now, though one side of the P1 plate was already over-filed so we'll have to tape the window to mask the bleed on the right side curtain.

Desmond and I went through the content for the preshow performance for Multiple Maniacs. I built the playlist and printed out the run of show and made notes on it. Note that the feature still needs to be checked for volume!

School Little Mermaid screening went very well.

Film-Tech reached out to me for details about our platters and projectors in a survey. I gave them everything they need. They’ll be shipping out the Oppenheimer print on behalf of Universal on 3 6K reels.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received Shanghai Express and Alien from L.A. prints.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Inspected Shanghai Express, it's gorgeous! Struck in 2019, hardly a scratch on it.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Ran a scratch test on P1 in Th1. It came out looking good, but I'll keep testing so I know we're safe for Oppenheimer. 

I checked in with DMS about our Th6 IMS RMA as well as the HDMI port not functioning anymore in Th1. We’ll see what they say, I’m suspecting that something in the projector itself is cause the HDMI port on the IMS to keep dying but I want them to confirm whether or not this would actually be possible. I’m thinking about installing the new IMS we get from this RMA in Theater 1 depending, but really just need to hear back from DMS first to see how things are progressing.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
