NPP Projection Report 6/14 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Second round in T1 was delayed approximately five minutes due to the IMS pausing itself. MODs called to alert me and I forwarded the show to the appropriate timecode

T6 gave us some trouble this evening during the second round (the film playing was Past Lives) as the picture and sound began "stuttering" every few moments. At first I thought this was a file issue so I stopped the SPL to play the isolated CPL but, unbeknownst to me, The Flash was ingesting in the background on this IMS which was causing the skipping -- I was in communication with Lillian who said this could be a probable cause even though this ingest was not meant to be scheduled so soon -- and, once I paused this ingest in progress, the film played normally for the rest of its duration. Overall the film ended 7 minutes behind schedule due to the couple of very brief stops and starts and the next round was played manually

(I allowed the ingest for The Flash to continue in T6 after the final round concluded; should be fine by tomorrow morning but let's keep an eye on it)

Preshow Clips/Playlist:

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran into an issue with the HDMI connection at Trees for karaoke -- the screen kept glitching and going to the projector startup screen before returning to the laptop display on HDMI 1...long story short it was as simple as swapping the HDMI adapters to Susan's computer -- which in turn created an audio issue as there was some confusion as to whether or not it was playing from the HDMI cable or from the 1/8 cable (I had attached both) though, after some troubleshooting, the issue was fixed and the music played normally [note: due to the issue in T6, I was delayed in setting up the mixer and mics for karaoke and, because of the length of the troubleshooting there, I forgot to turn the mixer on in T4 for Desmond's intro to Watermelon Woman)

Watermelon Woman screening this evening went smoothly despite the aforementioned oversight; the audience was small enough for Desmond to speak without the microphone and I explained and apologized for the mistake

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Asteroid City, Blue Beetle, and Meg 2 posters were delivered and stored behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Spent the majority of the late afternoon inspecting Alien from L.A. in 4/6; the print is in really pristine condition and should be shown with great care (uploaded some stills to the drive too)

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Marquee updated?:

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by entrance?:

Additional Notes: Noticing the whiteboard in 4/6 is being ignored! Please use this space to note if any content has been ingested/received/inspected; certain prints (especially in T1) were inspected this week but not marked down as such -- for the sake of avoiding confusion let's keep this board updated

Regarding karaoke at Trees, there are some items, namely the mixer, microphones, and corresponding XLR cables, that are absent from the A/V bin kept in the mezzanine closet; this is a minor note and complaint but is there no way we can better organize this bin so that we are not pulling mixers from T1 or T4 and sourcing additional mics from the office in 4/6?
