NPP Projection Report 7/22 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Since the Shutdown playlist was taken off the schedule for Th6, the lamp stayed on overnight. If you take this off the schedule for whatever reason, please remember to reschedule it for after the last show or remember to turn the lamp off, these really can't stay on overnight. Th6's lamp was on when I got in yesterday despite the shutdown playlist being scheduled. So please be sure to check that the lamp in Th6 is off after the last show.

Didn’t have any issues with T6 today, but keep an eye on it.

Special Events/ AV set up: The Truman Show went very well. The print looked really nice despite being a little bit scratchy. I noticed an odd thing were P2 would play the SR track (saying SRD was not ready) until I shut off the motor on P1. Not a huge issue since the sound switched over, it was just playing the analog track for a few seconds. But I haven't noticed this before, I think it's new.

First Oppenheimer print show went very well, too. It continues to look great. I set what I believe is a really good level for this print. I ended up turning down the subwoofer level on the 500 for Dolby Digital (I did this a while ago for the optical after we had a somewhat similar thing with a couple analog SR prints). After that Oppenheimer sounded very good at 7.0 on the 500 and 8.5 on the 750. I wrote this down on the index card with the general projection info.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
