NPP Projection Report 7/28 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Oppenheimer print has been moved up to Theater 4. Thanks again John and Matthew for your help! Ran the print through once in Theater 4 after moving it and it ran beautifully! Still looks great, and sounds great in Theater 4. I wrote the volume on a notecard, which is taped on the wall by the projector. Updated the playlist, too, with the new volume cue and the masking FILM 239 cue, which we should use for the 35mm Oppenheimer screenings in 4.

HDMI and DVI ports all worked completely normally in Theater 2 when I checked them today... with all AJAs, cables, and both the blu-ray player and the laptop from the stage. Got image on the first try with everything I tried. No idea what was happening yesterday.

Please let's finish up the cue sheets tonight. A note: do not fill in credit times for 35mm Oppenheimer shows based on the time the playlist ends on the TMS schedule. The DCP in the playlist starts two minutes after we start the print, so subtract two minutes from the end time of the 35mm playlist for the end credits time on the cue sheet, and get the start credit time from there. Timing should be exactly the same as the DCP screenings, 181 minute feature, 6 minutes of credits.

We got a fairly large Amazon box addressed to Jack (?), not sure what it is. Maybe delivered here by mistake? I left it by the 4/6 lens cabinet.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I deleted the Actual People DCP, this is showing at Williamsburg, not here. Check the calendar before you spend time downloading stuff, although this was only sent to my email and the WB projection group.

Print/video Inspection: Checked Misfits, set volume and 1.66 masking in Th7. No credits, so I added a minute and a half of black to the playlist after the feature with a cue to raise the lights to "Up" as guests leave.

Ran the first reel of The Mist with Cristina. Very nice print, noted the volume on the notecard.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): I filled in the end times for Sunday, I know we've had Oppenheimer on top of everything else but please don't let these slide!

Posters updated?: Took down Indy, finally, this closed a week ago. Moved Talk to Me over to it's spot, moved The Meg outside, took down Haunted Mansion (we're not booking this one), and put up the Oldboy reissue poster (a maybe but we don't really have anything else for now, please replace with TMNT once it comes). Bottoms is up in the lobby.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
