NPP Projection Close 8/11



To do this evening/ was completed: Slow night here--spent the evening inspecting Hard Target. The print is in excellent condition--going to look great on screen. Stills uploaded to Drive, Conrad notified.

Oppenheimer 35mm went smoothly after an initial leader brain-wrap that took a few hands to resolve. This was prior to the feature start time so not a presentation issue. All hands were on deck so we're all familiar with the sporadic kinks the lower deck of the platter exhibits.

Cleaned the projectors after the show and fitted the 1.85 lens into P1.

Apparently, according to Deluxe, the Paddington e-delivery was a failure--guess we'll have to request they reattempt in a few days, feature screens next Saturday.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Admin (Lillian/Will) 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there!
