NPP Projection Close 8/15



To do this evening/ was completed: Some technical issues with Trees during trivia, but otherwise juggling both events went well! 

Presentation Issues: When I was setting up trivia in Trees, I noticed that the volume/speakers were running at a low output through the XLR inputs under the projector screen. I had to crank the microphones all the way to its highest volume for it to be heard. 

However, when playing through Shay's computer, I was radioed midway through that it was super quiet. We tried to remedy the situation, but Shay said they're going to skip the round and come back next time. Something to look into tomorrow

There also wasn't a mic in the DJ box, so I left one in there for the next trivia. 

In Theater 6 for Lethal Weapon 4 there was still some lingering tape residue on the port glass for Projector 1 that wasn't ALWAYS noticeable, but there was a bit of a shadow of it onscreen. I tried cleaning it off with alcohol in between reels, but it wasn't quite working. Do we have any Goo Gone?

Special Events/ AV set up: Outside of the sound issues with Trees for Trivia, it was otherwise smooth! 

Lethal Weapon 4 went well! There was a little bit of adjusting to the Theater 6 projectors (it's definitely a little stiff), but it operated without any hitches. Desmond gave a great intro and it all went through. It's now back on their shipping reels and packed up.

Maintenance/cleaning: The walkie is being a little finnicky on the charger up in 4/6. Just something to keep an eye on.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): I filled out most of the cue sheets for next week. All that's missing is the Blue Beetle credit timing, Gran Turismo, and event timing. 

Tomorrow's automation was also checked and swapped out the 35mm Oppenheimer for DCP versions for both tomorrow and Thursday.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
