Projection 8/21 Never a dull day!



To do this evening/ was completed: Went to WB today for some maintenance. This morning McKegg informed me that one of the rollers had flew out of the projector when Chris was running a show the other night. It was one of the rollers for the holdback sprocket & pad roller assembly (bottom sprocket area in the gate). The Simplexes we have at Prospect are super similar and most of the Simplex XL/35 designs are just about the same with a few variations (our holdback section just had more screws and nuts, really) but anyway it was a loose screw that needed some tightening. This is impossible to do unless you actually take most of the apparatus out of the projector (sans sprocket, of course). There's a super small hex screw (i kinda wish they assembled these with longer screws) that holds the pad roller knob (plus pad roller) in, keeping it secure. Would've waited to do this, but there's a show tonight. Ran some film to double check. Sent some more notes and updates to Alec and Joe, but Will is gonna be just fine for tonight. Managed to get back here in good timing.

Special Events/ AV set up:  Probably going to have a zoom call for the 32 sounds doc so we can prep for the event. Looking at Friday. Seems as though they've got a separate tech team who'll be onsite for this. More to follow...

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for the Priscilla movie (A24). Stored and labeled in 3/7. 

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Brought down the Oppenheimer reels this morning. Both Oppenheimer and Badlands got picked up today. Also, just a note but I did mention that it would be preferable for Oppenheimer to get brought down Sunday evening since there were notes/emails about this getting picked up Monday. For posterity, please remember to double check both blogs from the previous day.

Maintenance/cleaning: Spoke to Vlad-- he'll actually be coming in tomorrow morning, instead. He's got a bunch of reference photos and videos I sent and he let me know that from what we've described, everything should be perfectly safe at the moment, but he'll make sure to check for loose ends/take a deep look at what's going on with the light(s) in general. I came in this morning to see that the light that had been giving us grief was--by some miracle--on?? I don't know...The light should be completely disabled, since that's what we did, but we'll find out more tomorrow.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Updated Hard Target this morning and notified Paul that the cue sheet was all good to go for today. 
Met with Paul about the cue sheets today. Please remember to check the cue sheets when you arrive for your shift -- check the day of and the next.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
