Projection Admin 8/30



To do this evening/ was completed: Alec n I had our cinema meeting this morning. We're good on content! We'll be meeting with the NewFest folks next week. More to follow...

AC techs came to work on the units this morning. They're up and running on the first floor now for T5, 3/7. 

For The List (private event) tomorrow, I'm using my Amazon account. Image and sound has been roughly tech'd in T5, meaning we can confirm both are working but we'll have to check levels tomorrow morning when I rent it. I'm still logged in on the PC so we can bring it up right away. I made a playlist for this with just preshow, so we'll go over the device switch tomorrow, but all you really have to do is make sure you're on BluRay Flat Zoom, volume is correct, and press play on the PC/open the dowser. No switching on the processor for audio, you'll stay on Digital 1. T5 is, of course, small, but you can do this somewhat comfortably in there, plus you can look out the port glass to confirm the visuals. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Bottoms credits info will get updated tomorrow as per Jess' email. Equalizer keys also open up tomorrow. 

Deleted old playlists/content off the TMS. 

Uploaded new keys for TMNT and Equalizer. These didn't go through before. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Heads up ~ we're probably bringing back First Slam Dunk on 9/6. I adjusted the old playlist from 8/29. Deleted the other CPLs we don't need. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Made and ingested slides for Little Princess, Secret Ceremony, NoBudge (another new slide, I got rid of the old ones), Fear of a Black Hat, Death Becomes Her (Intro), Death Becomes Her (Tip). 

Reached out to Deluxe for new set of KDMs for Talk To Me. We got a few rounds of KDMs for this one recently, but they all expire by both the 1st (or the 2nd), so I was pretty sure there was a mishap with the last set that got sent out just the other day. Anyway, we should be getting new keys this evening!

Converted the 3rd and 4th files for Industrial Musicals to DCP.

Maintenance/cleaning: Ran loops for this evening. Projectors have been cleaned. I'll be taking a further look at P2 tomorrow, but both Alec and I didn't have an issue with the projector today. I really do think it was something in the gate/shutter area or lamp house that got dislodged and started to burn. Brief, rapid smoke doesn't happen like that with much else. We'll make sure it's clean. Alec shaved the plates more which helped with the shadowing.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
