NPP Projection Report 9/27 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Jack, NewFest will be here for their first tech tomorrow. They are teching the following features: This Place, Cora Bora, and Almamuda. These are all in Theater 3 and are ready to go. They are also teching all of the Wake & Bake shorts program. This is in Theater 1 and all shorts are also ready on the server.

Also please check all the new first run features for volume tomorrow.

The new titles can get added to the marquee tonight.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Scheduled staff screenings for tomorrow and Friday and sent the email out.

Trailer Updates: Added Anatomy of a Fall to next week's R trailer pack in place of Exorcist.

Checked volume on all current trailers and updated the cues in all packs.

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops for Benjamin Button tonight.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): The House print arrived, it is in booth 1 and can be inspected tonight.

Downloaded the remaining file for the "The Device That Turned Me..." DCP for NewFest. Ingested this. We are also switching to open caption versions of the shorts for this program (Trans + Realism). We received new DCPs for three shorts, and waiting on links for two more. The remaining two were already open captioned when we initially received them. The three we received have all been downloaded and ingested.

We received the file for the Night of the Living Dead Live Sound Cinema screening, without the original musical score. It’s converting to DCP on the booth 1 Mac now.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Packed up New Jack City, printed labels and scheduled a pickup. It's on the cart and will go out tomorrow.

Maintenance/cleaning: I moved the half rack in the Theater 5 booth, there is a small doorway leading into the booth now at the top of the stairs. With the rack less in the way now we can use this door for easier access to the projector.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
