NPP Projection Report 9/29 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: The rain is leaking into booth 2 again, though not as much as it has in the past. I detailed all of this in an email to Matthew with the projectionists copied. There is also the ventilation duct which was leaking which we really need to keep an eye on. I taped it up with heavy duty waterproof duct tape so it should be fine but please check on it regularly, it was dripping on the floor right next to the Christie. Again, see the email for all the details. Please keep your eye on this room as it's going to rain all night. I alerted Matthew and the construction team should be looking into it.

I added 2 and a half minutes of black to the Rear Window playlist, after the feature and before the DCP show end pack, with a cue to bring the house lights to the "UP"/preshow setting since there are no credits on this feature. We should always do this with features that don't have credits or have a minute or less. Having the cleaning lights come on after sitting in the dark for two hours is quite unpleasant.

Attached the return labels to Benjamin Button, FedEx picked this up.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Paul mentioned that servers would find it helpful for the house lights to stay on low for CatVideoFest. I updated the playlist so lights are on the "MID" setting for the trailers & feature, basically a Hawks with Babies deal. I updated the playlist for this weekend.

Intro slide was not in the Little Princess playlist for tomorrow. I added it and also filled in the timing on the cue sheets for both shows.

Ingested Psycho and Stand By Me to Theater 2.

Night of the Living Dead DCP for LSC finished, it's been ingested to Theater 1.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Printed/attached a shipping label for Death Wish. On the cart, pickup scheduled for tomorrow.

Print/video Inspection: Teched Rear Window, it's all good. Pretty full houses for this this weekend so I bumped the volume up to 7.5.

Checked Paw Patrol volume.

Inspected the first reel of Chinese Ghost Story. It is in good shape. A bit warped especially at the start of the reel. May have slightly uneven focus at the start. There was also an unrepaired perf tear--usually I would just tape this but Academy Film Archive restricts us from making any repairs without contacting them first so I sent them an email.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
